# MaiGuard ID

> The identity layer of the MaiGuard platform. A business creates one verified identity — legal entity, RC number, directors and UBOs, documents — and reuses it across every MaiGuard product with consent, instead of re-submitting the same KYB to each one.

MaiGuard ID (id.maiguard.com) is part of MaiGuard, the trust infrastructure for African financial institutions. It is not a standalone KYB product; it is the platform's identity layer — a secure home for a business's identity that MaiGuard's own products (Sentinel, Verify, Resolve, Assist) read through a consented contract.

## What it is today (v1)
- A business identity vault: the KYB a business already gives MaiGuard, held once in one independently-scalable place.
- Reused across every MaiGuard product with the holder's consent — no re-collection.
- A business identity is modeled as a graph of people and an org: directors, beneficial owners (UBOs) and admins are first-class person records who each link their own MaiGuard ID, or are invited to create one.
- Every attribute carries its own verification status (verified vs. asserted).

## How consent works
- The requesting product declares exactly what it needs (required scopes) plus anything optional.
- The holder sees a consent screen at id.maiguard.com/consent, approves per attribute, and can decline optional items.
- Every share is logged two-sided; access can be revoked at any time from Connected apps.

## Roadmap (not yet available)
- "Continue with MaiGuard ID": SSO / OIDC sign-in for external third-party apps.
- Verify once: attested, liveness-bound claims a receiver can rely on.
- Personal identities: the same vault and consent model for individuals (a personal identity wallet).

## Security & compliance
- Envelope-encrypted custody; keys held for the holder.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified; NDPR licensed.
- Data-subject rights (access, erasure, portability, rectification) honoured by design.
